Tom Chittum, SVP of Forensic Services at SoundThinking

After nearly 27 years in federal law enforcement, Tom joined SoundThinking where he leads a team supporting the use of the company's data and solutions in investigations and litigation. A licensed attorney, Tom retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) as a Senior Executive Service member, serving his final year as Chief Operating Officer.

Jeff Asher, Founder - AH Datalytics

Jeff Asher is a nationally recognized crime data analyst and co-founder of the data analytics firm AH Datalytics. Before launching AH Datalytics, Jeff served as a crime analyst for the City of New Orleans and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and prior to that he worked as an analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency and Department of Defense. Jeff’s analyses have appeared nationally on data journalism website FiveThirtyEight, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and more. Jeff holds a MA from George Washington University and a BA from the University of Texas.

Dave Hatten, RTCI program manager - AH Datalytics

Dave is the Real-time Crime Index (RTCI) Program Manager. He is an expert evaluator of place-based policing strategies and the use of spatial analysis in the field of criminal justice. Prior to joining AH Datalytics, Dave worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Boston Area Research Initiative (BARI) at Northeastern University, conducting research at the intersection of crime, geography, and public health.
