ALPR Plate Ranger and CrimeTracer

AUGUST 28, 10AM PT / 1PM ET

From Tip to Takedown: Using ALPR and CrimeTracer to Strengthen Narcotics Investigations

Narcotics investigations pose unique challenges—fragmented tips, undercover operations, and the need to build airtight cases under time pressure. In this webinar, we’ll explore how law enforcement agencies are using Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) and CrimeTracer to uncover patterns of movement, link vehicles to drug houses, and identify cross-jurisdictional trafficking activity. From spotting repeat visits to known locations to establishing broader criminal networks, integrated platforms like PlateRanger and CrimeTracer provide investigators with critical leads—and confidence in court. Whether you’re pursuing a street-level dealer or a larger network, this session will show how combining vehicle data with investigative intelligence can lead to safer communities and more permanent disruption of the drug trade.

By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

    • Identify how ALPR data can be used to support narcotics investigations, including linking vehicles to suspect drug locations, patterns of behavior, and repeat offender movements.
    • Understand how to leverage CrimeTracer to validate tips, uncover historical complaints, and fuse data across RMS, CAD, and LPR systems to build stronger investigative narratives.
    • Explore real-world workflows that combine ALPR and investigative platforms to track narcotics suspects across jurisdictions and coordinate multi-agency responses.
    • Learn how integrated technologies can increase case integrity and community impact, including options for post-conviction documentation and civil enforcement actions.
