Commissioner Christine Elow
Police Commissioner, Cambridge Police Department
Christine Elow made history in 2022 as the first woman appointed Police Commissioner of the Cambridge Police Department, where she has served for nearly 30 years. She has led major divisions, including Operations and Community Services, and is recognized for her commitment to fair, community-centered policing and reform. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, she also serves as a principal instructor at the regional police academy. Commissioner Elow holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Curry College and an M.A. in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School. Raised in Cambridge, she remains dedicated to creating a safe and healthy community for all residents and visitors.
Chief Ed Burman
Chief of Police, Wayland Police Department
Chief Ed Burman has dedicated more than 30 years to law enforcement and today serves as Chief of Police for the Wayland Police Department. He previously spent more than two decades with the Ashland and Framingham Police Departments in leadership, logistics, and community-focused roles. Alongside his police service, Chief Burman has been a Registered Nurse at MetroWest Medical Center since 1993, reflecting his dedication to both safety and health. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Emerson College and an Associate’s degree from Mount Wachusett Community College.
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Dermot Quinn
Massachusetts State Police
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Dermot Quinn is a 35-year veteran of the Massachusetts State Police, where he rose through the ranks from Trooper in 1983 to Lieutenant Colonel in 2015. He held leadership roles across the Narcotics Section, Attorney General’s Detective Unit, Criminal Information Section, and Commonwealth Fusion Center. As a division commander, he led both the Division of Investigative Services and the Division of Homeland Security and Preparedness before his honorable retirement in 2021. He holds multiple degrees from the University of Massachusetts–Lowell and continues to contribute to law enforcement through advisory boards, executive training, and part-time service with the State Police.
Superintendent Frederick Cabral
Cambridge Police Department
Superintendent Frederick Cabral joined the Cambridge Police Department in 2003 and has more than a decade of supervisory experience. He currently oversees the Support Services Division, which includes Criminal Investigations, Family and Social Justice, Procedural Justice, and Administrative Services. Certified in Trauma-Informed Policing and Mental Health First Aid, he also serves as a regional instructor in Crisis Intervention Training. Superintendent Cabral holds a bachelor’s degree in Crime, Law and Deviance from Suffolk University.

Jamie combines deep law enforcement roots, beginning as a police officer in Maryland, with advanced expertise in cloud-native platforms, AI/ML, and mission-critical software solutions.
